I don't even know how people have logged this kind of hours on the game in less than SIX MONTHS, and how boring your life must be to do this, and I say this as someone who has over 900 hours on EU4, which was over the span of close to THREE YEARS. Most serious games you won't be allowed to play a major unless you have more than 400 hours on the game, and the expectation is that Germany and Soviet Union need more than 1000 hours. I have also heard many people accuse hosts of modifying the rules mid-game, which I am pretty sure actually does happen quite often. If that wasn't ludicrous enough, I was literally just in a game where someone didn't even break a rule, but the people wanted to kick him anyway because he did something that supposedly "messed up the game". I could go on for hours, because I really wasn't exaggerating when I said rules are often pages long. There are rules for all countries, rules for majors, rules for minors, rules for specific countries, rules for factions, rules for government systems, when you can declare war, how you can declare war, who you can declare war on, what diplomatic actions you can use, how much world tension there has to be before you can do said actions, what unit compositions you can use, what buildings you can build, who you can trade with, what national focuses you can take, whether or not you must accept certain deals from national focuses, etc, etc. I have literally seen games with rules that are the length of entire essays. First of all, people have some kind of obsession with rules. I played some multiplayer in the first weeks when the game came out but then I stopped playing until recently.
